QUESTION

I read that for women it is haram to shave their head completely bald. But what if they have a mental heath problem where they subconsciously hurt themselves by pulling their hair? Can they shave their head so that they will not be able to pull and can focus on bettering themselves? Thank you.

Pertaining to shaving, it is considered to makruh. In the mazhan of imam Malik it is haram. As for situation of someone having the kind of sickness that you described, there is no harm on doing so.
