QUESTION

Im asking on behalf of my fiancee. She is a muallaf. Before she converted to islam, she had a tattoo done on her forearm. after converting, is it a must or sinful for her to go for a tattoo removal?

If she is able to remove and has the means, it is compulsory upon her to remove the tattoos. Unless if one does not have the capacity and means to remove them due to severe pain that can be caused in the process.
